It’s fall. That means you’re never sure how to dress your kids. With twins it’s double everything which sounds bad but once you start thinking in twos it becomes second nature. You dress for fall and it feels like summer. You dress the kids in shorts and t-shirts and they’ll complain when 50 degree breezes interrupt your summer flashbacks.
It’s also my favorite season. It’s more consistent than spring and normally drier, but the activities. Ah the activities- pumpkin this and pumpkin that. Can anyone tell me whatever happened to Apples. This used to be apple season. There are 7,500 varieties of apples. You can have a different variety of apple, every day for twenty years, but just one pumpkin. It’s the true fall fruit but thanks to Starbucks it’s taken a back seat to the pumpkin. The great thing is both Pumpkin and Apple make for really healthy alternatives in muffin and cookie recipes.
That said we partake in both pumpkin and apple centric activities this fall. Last weekend we watched Apple Bobbing and went pumpkin bowling. We picked out a good one for carving this weekend. I’m sure we’ll have some video of that for next week. First, we have to review last week. The kiddos both were saddled with a bug that came through like a Florida summer storm. We still made it to the Parsons Farms Fall Fest and a few other fun things while there’s still some leaves on the trees. Cold weather in the forecast this week.
Here’s our video for Week Three. Enjoy!
