Fiverr – Review

December 10, 2016 by Karen Leave a Comment

Fiverr Review: Quick recommendation. Karen has been working on a project this week involving drawing animal and people characters for a kids book. While learning to draw on the go has been fun, tomorrow will be a trial presentation in front of our kids class. We’ve need lots of help from generous YouTubers.

Do you need to learn how to make felt sea gulls?  Someone has done it on Youtube or a blog. Practically every how-to-video has already been filmed, including videos how to create how-to-videos.

There wasn’t enough time to learn every detail, so we turned to Fiverr. A website with thousands of creative type who can do micro projects for micro-budgets. It was a fast and easy experience. We needed a cute miniature Schnauzer design, and for $6 we contracted an artist and a couple of days later one was delivered.  The art was pretty basic, but it did the job…For $6!  We tipped the artist a little extra.

In the past, Chris had used Fiverr when he needed a British accent for a product description as well as some other small products. Often your designers are from countries were five dollars gets you a lot more than it does here in the US. So be wary they’re may be a language barrier, but in our experiences, this has not been an issue.

While it’s not perfect, it’s cheap and often enough to fill in a creative gap. Fiverr is a tool that needs to be in every blogger’s toolbox. Browse the site, and you may find something you didn’t know you needed.

And what did our $6 get us?  This pretty adorable dog.  Not bad.
