Baked Oatmeal with Berries

March 24, 2014 by Chris Leave a Comment

Look forward to Mondays when you start the day with this Baked Oatmeal.   Wake up.  Warm oven to 350.

In an oven-proof bowl mix
1/2 cup oats
1 cup water
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup of berries or peaches
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
2 egg whites
Drizzle Maple Syrup on Top.
Stick in the oven and get ready for work, read to the kids or ride the bike a half hour.    Come back to the kitchen, stick it under the broiler to finish, pour coffee, check Facebook, change diaper come back to kitchen….and done.
For the ‘dults, add scoop of protein powder to the ingredients.  I recommend vanilla or a pretty timid flavored powder for a post workout rebuilder.
